KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — One person was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle near Columbus Park in Kenosha, according to WLIP.
The incident took place at the intersection of 22nd Avenue and 53rd Street, at approximately 3:15 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but scanner reports indicated one vehicle was involved.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Milwaukee hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
Authorities shut down a road at the intersection for multiple hours during the response and investigation.
It is unclear whether any charges are expected to be filed. No further information has been released at this time.
