MILWAUKEE, WI — A 56-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon after his motorcycle was hit by a driver in northwest Milwaukee’s Long View neighborhood, according to TMJ4.
The fatal incident took place at the intersection of West Appleton Avenue and West Hampton Avenue, shortly after 3:00 p.m.
Few details have been released, but the Milwaukee Police Department said another driver struck the motorcyclist while making a left turn. The rider was ejected from his bike in the crash.
First responders rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Authorities said the driver of the striking car remained behind and cooperated with officers.
It is unclear whether any charges are expected to be filed, but an investigation was in progress.
