WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A 55-year-old man died Thursday morning after being struck by a dump truck while riding a motorcycle in Town of Lisbon, according to The Freeman.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and two area fire crews responded to the scene at the corner of Lisbon Road and Maple Avenue at about 9:35 a.m.
An early investigation indicates a 56-year-old man was driving a dump truck westbound on Lisbon Road when the motorcyclist entered the intersection from Maple Avenue. Moments later, the truck hit the rider.
Authorities said the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck, who was not reported injured in the crash, stayed after the incident and cooperated with responding officers.
An investigation by the WCSO and the Wisconsin State Patrol remains ongoing.
