BROWN COUNTY, WI — A vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near south Ashwaubenon caused about 1700 Wisconsin Public Service customers to lose power, according to We Are Green Bay.

The accident happened at the corner of Ashland Avenue Access Road and Baeten Road, just west of Wisconsin Highway 32.

Little information has been released regarding the cause of the incident, but an Ashwaubenon Public Safety officer said one vehicle collided with a power line.

Multiple residences and businesses in the area were warned they could be without power until as late as 10:00 p.m. that night as crews made repairs.

Officials installed four-way stop signs at all nearby intersections impacted by the outage.

By 6:16 a.m. Sunday morning, We are Green Bay reported that power had since been restored in the area.
