OCONTO COUNTY, WI — A 61-year-old Lena man was hospitalized last Thursday, May 5, after a rollover collision on County Highway V near the town of Underhill, reports Green Bay Press Gazette.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred on the southbound lanes south of Stern Road, at around 9:24 a.m.
An early investigation indicates the man was southbound on the road when his passenger-side tires ran onto the gravel. Shortly after, his truck traveled into the west ditch near the intersection and hit a telephone pole before overturning.
Authorities said the victim was partially ejected through the windshield of his truck’s cab. He was rushed by ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. No further updates on his condition have been shared.
As of this writing, it is unclear what caused the crash.
