MILWAUKEE, WI — One person was injured Wednesday evening when their car hit a deer on Interstate 43 near Milwaukee’s Williamsburg Heights neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said the incident took place near West Capitol Drive at about 7:40 p.m.
Details are limited, but officials said the driver suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening. It was unclear whether the patient was transported to a hospital.
All northbound lanes were completely shut down during the emergency response and remained closed as of 9:30 p.m. Traffic was diverted to Keefe Avenue.
