OCONTO COUNTY, WI — A 20-year-old Lena man was hospitalized early last Friday, May 6, after a single-car rollover wreck off County Highway B near Spruce, reports Green Bay Press Gazette.
The accident occurred on a stretch of the highway just north of Luisier Lane, shortly before 2:30 a.m.
An early investigation found the young man was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Golf southbound when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and entered the east ditch near Luisier Lane.
Authorities said the driver had hit the driveway embankment of a farm field, causing his car to flip before coming to rest in the ditch.
First responders arrived to find the victim ejected and lying near his vehicle in a field. The patient was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital, where his condition was undisclosed.
No further information has been shared as of this writing, but officials noted the driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
