MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon blocked a right lane on Interstate 41/94 near the Mitchell Interchange in south Milwaukee, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The collision took place on the northbound lanes at West Edgerton Avenue, and was first reported by TTWN at 3:35 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the wreck or how many vehicles were involved, but the scene remained on the roadway for at least an hour.
Motorists were warned of stop-and-go traffic back to Airport Spur, or Wisconsin Highway 119.
By 4:40 p.m., the backup had extended down to West Rawson Avenue.
