MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Two people were hospitalized last Friday evening after a crash involving a van and a motorcycle on Interstate 94 near southeast Brookfield, reports CBS58.
The collision occurred on the eastbound lanes near South Elm Grove Road, in the Kinseys Garvendale area, at about 5:45 a.m.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, a driver in an eastbound van struck a motorcyclist and fled the scene.
Authorities first found the van abandoned on Wisconsin Highway 100 at I-94. The driver, who was later found by West Allis Police, was transported to a local hospital for undisclosed injuries. He was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.
The motorcyclist, a 50-year-old man, also suffered undisclosed injuries. He was transported to a hospital where his condition remains unknown.
An investigation by the WCSO and the Wisconsin State Patrol was underway.
