MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people died early Wednesday morning after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 43 heading into Milwaukee’s Saveland Park neighborhood, according to CBS58.
The fatal accident happened on the southbound lanes near Exit 314A to West Holt Avenue, prompting a road closure at 2:00 a.m.
Details are limited at this time, but the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The southbound freeway was shut down and remained closed for about five hours during the emergency response and investigation. All traffic was re-directed at West Becher Street.
