MILWAUKEE, WI — A 12-year-old boy was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after a hit-and-run crash involving a stolen vehicle in Milwaukee’s Midtown area, reports CBS58.
The incident occurred near the intersection of North 26th Street and West Lisbon Avenue at about 1:00 p.m.
Details are limited, but Milwaukee Police said the underage driver struck a vehicle carrying an 18-year-old and a 12-year-old.
No injuries were reported, but shortly after, the boy fled the scene on foot and got on a Milwaukee County Transit System bus. Officers pursued him on the bus and took the boy into custody.
Authorities said the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office will be reviewing criminal charges in the case.
