RACINE COUNTY, WI — One person was hurt Wednesday morning in a collision after a vehicle ran a stop sign on County Road H near Franksville, reports FOX6 Milwaukee.

Caledonia Police Department said the accident happened at 4 Mile Road, near Caledonia Wildlife Area.

A preliminary investigation indicates an SUV and a Nissan collided at the intersection after the driver in the Nissan failed to yield to traffic at the stop sign. The impact of the crash sent the SUV about 120 feet into the nearby farm field.

Authorities said minor injuries were reported in the incident, though it was unclear which party was injured.

The causing driver has since been issued a citation for failure to yield from a stop sign.

No further information has been shared at this time.
