MILWAUKEE, WI — A man died Monday evening after a fiery single-vehicle accident near Timmerman Airport in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Appleton Avenue and West Silver Spring Drive, shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Milwaukee police said the man was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and veered off the roadway. Moments later, the vehicle collided with a pole and a tree. The car then caught fire as it came to a rest.
First responders arrived to find the victim deceased at the scene. No other occupants were in the vehicle, and no other vehicles were involved.
