MILWAUKEE, WI — A hit-and-run collision turned into an armed robbery Wednesday morning in downtown Milwaukee’s East Town neighborhood, according to FOX6 Milwaukee.
The incident occurred near the corner of East Michigan Street and North Van Buren Street at about 10:15 a.m.
Milwaukee Police said the suspect was in a vehicle that collided with another car driven by a 60-year-old man. After producing a weapon, the suspect was able to take the victim’s car and flee the scene.
The victim driver was not reported injured.
No further information has been released at this time, but as of this writing, authorities are actively searching for the suspect.
