OCONTO COUNTY, WI — A 79-year-old man died Thursday night after a single-vehicle accident on County Highway G near the Town of Brazeau, reports NBC26 Green Bay.
Sheriff’s deputies and EMS personnel responded to the scene on the westbound lanes of the highway, west of Parkway Road, at about 8:30 p.m.
According to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, the man was behind the wheel of a pickup truck heading westbound on CTH G when, for reasons still being investigated, he lost control of the vehicle. The pickup traveled into the south ditch before colliding with a tree.
The victim died from his injuries at the scene, confirmed authorities.
No further information has been shared at this time, but an investigation by the OCSO and Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office was underway.
