SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — A 51-year-old woman died early Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash that injured another on County Road J in Sheboygan Falls, reports FOX6 Milwaukee.
Officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal accident happened west of Meadowlark Road shortly before 5:45 a.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates a Chevrolet SUV was traveling westbound on the road when it veered past the center line and entered the eastbound lanes. Moments later, it collided head-on with an oncoming Mazda SUV.
The driver of the Chevrolet died from her injuries at the scene, confirmed authorities.
The driver of the Mazda suffered significant injuries and was rushed by medics to a Milwaukee-area hospital.
No further information has been released at this time.
Multiple emergency agencies responded to the event, including the SCSO, Orange Cross Ambulance, and Johnsonville Fire Department.
