MILWAUKEE, WI — A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection to a collision last Saturday that fatally injured a woman in northwest Milwaukee, according to CBS58.
Milwaukee police responded to the scene near the intersection of West Fond du Lac Avenue and West Congress Street on March 12, shortly after 11:00 a.m.
Video footage captured a silver Volvo heading eastbound on Fond du Lac as a red Chevrolet Cobalt approached the intersection from the westbound lanes. The Cobalt is seen trying to turn left onto Congress when it is struck by the Volvo.
The driver of the Cobalt, a 43-year-old woman, was found unresponsive and suffering from grave injuries. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Authorities said the driver of the Volvo, who was able to get out from his vehicle, was transported to a hospital with arm pain. He was arrested and has since been charged with “knowingly [operating] a motor vehicle while revoked, causing death of another.”
