KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — A 43-year-old Twin Lakes woman was fatally injured Saturday afternoon in a multi-vehicle collision on County Highway CK near Wilmot, according to FOX6 Milwaukee.

Kenosha County deputies said the accident occurred near the Fox River Road intersection at approximately 4:20 p.m.

An early investigation indicates the woman was driving a blue Chevy Sonic northbound on the road. She was stopped in traffic to turn left onto County Highway CK (125th Street) when her car was rear-ended by a silver Jeep. The impact of the crash sent the Sonic into the southbound lanes of Fox River Road, where it collided head-on with an oncoming black Chevy pickup truck.

The driver of the Sonic, who was alone in the car, suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Froedtert South Hospital in Pleasant Prairie. Authorities said she was later pronounced deceased.

No serious injuries to the other drivers were reported. Both cooperated with investigators at the scene and were not suspected of impairment.

An investigation remains underway. As of this writing, no details have been released regarding any pending charges.
