MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people were injured, one critically, Saturday morning in a two-vehicle collision on West Fond du Lac Avenue in northwest Milwaukee, according to FOX6 Milwaukee.
The accident happened near the West Congress Street intersection, near the city’s Capitol Heights area, shortly after 11:00 a.m.
Milwaukee police said a 43-year-old woman was making a turn when another driver collided with her vehicle.
The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. No updates on her condition have been released as of this writing.
Authorities said the causing driver, a 22-year-old man, was placed under custody and taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. He is expected to face criminal charges from the district attorney’s office.
An investigation remains underway, but as of this writing, speed is believed to have contributed to the crash.
