WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — One person died Monday night after a two-vehicle collision that injured another on Interstate 94 near southwest Brookfield, according to TMJ4.
The fatal crash happened on the westbound lanes at East Moreland Boulevard (U.S. Highway 18) at about 9:21 p.m.
An early investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol indicates a vehicle rear-ended a second vehicle, disabling both cars as they came to rest across two traffic lanes.
One driver died from their injuries at the scene, confirmed authorities.
The second driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but no other details have been shared regarding their condition.
A section of the westbound interstate was shut down as emergency crews responded to the scene.
