WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — One person was hospitalized Wednesday evening after their motorcycle struck an SUV on Interstate 94 near southeast Brookfield, reports WISN.
The accident happened near Elm Grove Road, in the city’s Kinseys Garvendale area, at around 7:45 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the collision, but the rider suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
No occupants in the SUV were reported injured.
All traffic was diverted at Wisconsin Highway 100 as ramps from I-41 southbound to I-94 as well as I-41/I-894 northbound to I-94 westbound were shut down. By 11:00 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
An investigation remains underway, but the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said high speed appeared to have contributed to the wreck.
