MILWAUKEE, WI — A 43-year-old man died last Friday night after a single-vehicle collision in northwest Milwaukee’s Long View area, according to FOX6 Milwaukee.
The accident occurred on West Fond du Lac Avenue near the Wellington Place intersection on March 11, at about 9:10 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, but Milwaukee police said the man was behind the wheel of a vehicle when he slammed into a tree, causing the car the erupt into flames.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Authorities confirmed he was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and no other injuries were reported.
An investigation remains ongoing.
