DODGE COUNTY, WI — A 76-year-old man was hospitalized early Thursday morning after a single-vehicle accident near Brandt-Quirk Park in northwest Watertown, reports FOX6 Milwaukee.
Watertown Police and fire crews responded to the scene on a stretch of Welsh Road near the Wisconsin Highway 26 overpass shortly after 4:00 a.m.
It was unclear what led up to the wreck, but authorities said the man was behind the wheel of a vehicle approaching the overpass when the car struck a bridge abutment, causing him to eject.
The victim was airlifted to a local hospital where his condition remains undisclosed.
No further information has been shared at this time, but an investigation by Watertown Police Department and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was underway.
