MILWAUKEE, WI — A 33-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon after being struck by gunfire and crashing his car near Timmerman Airport in northwest Milwaukee, reports CBS58.
The fatal incident occurred near the corner of North 91st Street and West Appleton Avenue (Wisconsin Highway 175), in the city’s Valhalla neighborhood, at about 1:20 p.m.
Details are limited, but according to Milwaukee police, the man was driving near the intersection when multiple gunshots were fired, striking him. The event caused him to veer into a light pole.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from injuries related to the gunshot wounds.
It was unclear whether or not the victim was shot at by another driver, but an investigation and a search for possible suspects were underway.
