MILWAUKEE, WI — A 20-year-old man was arrested Friday night after crashing a stolen vehicle during a police pursuit in Milwaukee’s south side, according to FOX6 Milwaukee.
The events unfolded near the intersection of South 31st Street and West Becher Street, in the city’s Burnham Park area, at about 9:20 p.m.
Milwaukee police said officers initially spotted a vehicle matching the description of a stolen car and attempted a traffic stop. The driver then sped away, prompting a chase. During the pursuit, the suspect collided with another vehicle and tried to flee the scene on foot, but was soon located and taken into custody,
The suspect was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated, but it was unclear whether or not he was seriously hurt.
No other injuries were reported in the event, and no further details have been released.
