MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle accident Friday morning blocked a left lane on Interstate 41 near Currie Park in northwest Wauwatosa, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The crash happened on the southbound lanes (U.S. Highway 45) at West Burleigh Street. It was first reported by TTWN at 8:50 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the event, but commuters were warned of stop-and-go traffic as far back as Hampton Avenue.
By 9:50 a.m., an hour later, the left lane remained blocked by debris, indicating an extended emergency response.
