MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle collision Friday morning blocked a center lane on Interstate 43 near northwest Milwaukee’s North Division neighborhood, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The crash occurred on the southbound lanes at West Wright Street. It was first reported by TTWN at 7:40 a.m.

Commuters were warned of a traffic jam stretched back to Keefe Avenue.
At 7:45 a.m., the scene appeared to have been moved to the left shoulder.

By 8:30 a.m., nearly an hour later, the wreck still blocked the shoulder, but the traffic backup had shortened to West Burleigh Street.
