MILWAUKEE, WI — Three people, including an infant, were injured Saturday night in a two-vehicle accident near Milwaukee’s King Park neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
The crash happened at the intersection of North 17th Street and West Highland Avenue shortly after 8:00 p.m.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a van was heading eastbound on Highland when it failed to stop at a red light and collided with a southbound car.
A 22-year-old female passenger in the victim vehicle suffered critical injuries and was rushed to an area hospital. A one-month-old baby boy received a medical evaluation, and the 40-year-old female driver was said to be in stable condition, though it was unclear whether they were also transported to a hospital.
Authorities said the driver of the van first left the scene but then returned and cooperated with officers.
No further details have been provided, but an investigation remains ongoing.
