MILWAUKEE, WI — A 48-year-old man died early Thursday morning after crashing his vehicle into a tree near northwest Milwaukee’s Uptown neighborhood, according to TMJ4.
The fatal accident occurred in the 2500 block of North 55th Street at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Milwaukee Police Department said the man was driving northbound when he appeared to have lost control of his car while negotiating a turn. The vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
Authorities confirmed the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved, and no other injuries were reported.
Police believe weather conditions and high speed were factors in the crash.
