MILWAUKEE, WI — A 41-year-old man died late Saturday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision in northwest Milwaukee’s Uptown neighborhood, according to WISN.

Milwaukee Police Department said the fatal accident occurred near Sherman Boulevard and Wright Street. It was first reported by WISN at 5:40 p.m.

An early investigation indicates the man was driving northbound on Sherman Boulevard when, for reasons still being investigated, he lost control of his vehicle. Shortly after, he struck a traffic signal and another vehicle at the intersection.

Authorities indicated the man died from his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle suffered undisclosed injuries and was taken to a local hospital, but is expected to survive.

An investigation into the cause of the crash remains in progress.
