OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI — A woman was injured last Friday afternoon in a pedestrian crash while working as a crossing guard in northeast Kaukauna, reports WBAY.
The incident took place off the intersection of Lawe Street and Taylor Street, near Park Community Charter School, at approximately 3:00 p.m.
Kaukauna Police said the victim was standing on the sidewalk and preparing for her shift when she was hit by a vehicle going eastbound on Taylor. The driver appeared to have lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway.
The woman suffered a shoulder injury and was said to be recovering at home as of this writing.
Authorities believe slick road conditions factored into the crash, but the driver was issued multiple citations.
