News: Suspected OWI driver rear-ends squad car at Green Bay crash site

GREEN BAY, WI — A suspected intoxicated driver was arrested early Saturday morning after crashing into a marked squad car at the scene of a prior crash in downtown Green Bay, according to WBAY.

Green Bay Police Department said the incident occurred in the 1300 block of Main Street at around 2:30 a.m.

According to authorities, an officer had parked a squad car with emergency lights activated to protect a nearby crash site and the involved victims. At one point during the investigation, the suspect rear-ended the marked car, which had been unoccupied.

No injuries were reported in the event.

At this time, no further information has been released regarding any pending charges to the OWI (operating while intoxicated) driver.
