WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI — Six people were injured Thursday night in multiple collisions involving eight passenger cars and a commercial vehicle on Interstate 41 near Neenah, according to WBAY.
The events unfolded on the southbound lanes near Exit 133 to Winchester Road shortly before 7:22 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the crashes or how they were connected, but the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office said six people were transported to area hospitals with injuries ranging from mild to severe. At this time, authorities do not believe the injuries sustained were life-threatening.
Multiple other emergency agencies responded to the scene. A section of the interstate was shut down during the response but reopened at around 9:10 p.m.
