BROWN COUNTY, WI — A 24-year-old man was hospitalized late Saturday night after being struck by multiple vehicles on Wisconsin Highway 172 in Allouez, according to NBC26 Green Bay.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office said the events unfolded near Libal Street and WIS-172 shortly after 10:57 p.m.
Prior to the incident, deputies had been dispatched to the area after receiving reports about a man running in traffic, but he was said to have jumped over a fence before their arrival.
Shortly after authorities began searching for the man, they learned he had been struck by multiple vehicles while trying to cross the highway. The drivers of a 2011 Honda Civic and a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck stayed after the crash and called 911.
The male pedestrian suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a local hospital after receiving treatment at the scene. No updates on his condition has been disclosed as of this writing.
No other injuries to the drivers of their passengers were reported.
