OCONTO COUNTY, WI — A 54-year-old man was hospitalized New Year’s Day after his ATV overturned in an Oconto residential neighborhood, according to Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Authorities said the incident occurred at the intersection of Scherer Avenue and 4th Street at around 7:30 p.m.
An early investigation shows the man was driving southbound on Scherer when he veered from a legally parked vehicle while turning east onto 4th Street. The abrupt action caused the ATV to overturn and eject the victim.
Officers applied CPR after arriving to find the victim unconscious and breathing, but he exhibited no pulse. Oconto Fire Rescue crews were able to restore his pulse shortly after, and he was rushed to a Green Bay hospital.
No further details have been disclosed on the severity of his condition.
