News: Man dies after pedestrian accident involving train in north Waukesha

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A man died late Saturday morning after being struck by a Wisconsin Southern Railroad train in north Waukesha, according to GM Today.

The fatal incident occurred on West Moreland Boulevard shortly before 10:55 a.m.

Both Waukesha Police and Waukesha Fire crews responded to the scene where the male victim, described as a “non-railroad employee,” was pronounced deceased.

Authorities shut down the Whiterock Avenue at the Moreland Boulevard and Perkins Avenue intersections during the emergency response.

An investigation into the event was being handled by the WPD, the Waukesha County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Canadian National Railroad.
