MILWAUKEE, WI — A 40-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle accident involving a speeding driver in south Milwaukee’s Walker Square area, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The fatal crash happened near the intersection of Cesar Chavez Drive and Scott Street at around 6:00 a.m.
Authorities said a 20-year-old male driver was speeding on Cesar Chavez Drive when his vehicle collided with victim’s car as it turned left near Scott Street. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles into a nearby light pole.
Milwaukee police said the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
The causing driver was taken into custody and is expected to face charges.
