WAUPACA COUNTY, WI — Two adults were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a school bus collided with an SUV on U.S. HIghway 45 near south Bear Creek, according to We Are Green Bay.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred at the highway intersection with County Road N at around 12:45 p.m.
An early investigation shows an SUV was heading north on Highway 45 when it made contact with a school bus merging onto the highway.
Authorities confirmed 21 children and 4 adults were on board the bus at the time of the collision. No children were reported injured, but two adults suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to New London Theda Care.
A section of US 45 was shut down in both directions during the response but reopened two hours later at around 2:45 p.m.
