MILWAUKEE, WI — An 18-year-old woman died Sunday evening in a single-vehicle rollover collision in the Old North Milwaukee neighborhood, according to TMJ4.
Authorities said the accident occurred in the 5300 block of North Teutonia Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates the woman was driving south on the road when she lost control of her car and collided with a pole and then a tree, among other objects. The impact caused the vehicle to flip, ejecting the driver.
Medics rushed the unidentified victim to an area hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Her passenger, a 19-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.
An investigation remains open, but police said high speed and weather conditions were likely factors in the fatal crash.
