MILWAUKEE, WI — Six people were hospitalized Friday morning after a school bus collided with a Milwaukee County Transit System bus at a public library in central Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The accident took place at West Fond du Lac and West Center Street.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the event, but authorities said the impact of the crash pushed the school bus into the Milwaukee Public Library’s Center Street branch.
The driver and five passengers on the MCTS bus were transported to an area hospital for an evaluation. No further information has been released on the extent of their injuries.
No one on board the school bus or in the library branch was reported injured.
Motorists in the area were being rerouted as authorities taped off the scene for an investigation.
