KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — A 47-year-old Illinois woman survived a serious two-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer Wednesday morning in Pleasant Prairie, according to WISN.
Authorities said the collision occurred on Green Bay Road shortly before 9:00 a.m.
An early investigation indicates the woman crashed her car into the back of a tractor-trailer as it slowed down on the road. The impact of the crash pulled the roof off the car and tore it in half, leaving only the driver’s seat intact.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for an evaluation after sustaining minor injuries, including bumps, bruises and scrapes.
No injuries to the truck driver were reported, and no other occupants were in the impacted car.
Authorities said the woman is expected to be issued a citation for “inattentive driving.”
