News: Driver cited after colliding with school bus in Old North Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, WI — A two-vehicle accident involving a school bus was reported Tuesday afternoon in Milwaukee’s Old North Milwaukee neighborhood, according to FOX6 Milwaukee.

The crash happened at the intersection of North 35th Street and West Villard Avenue at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Milwaukee police said a school bus was turning left at the corner when it made contact with a vehicle that ran through a yellow traffic signal.

Authorities confirmed the driver of the bus was not injured, and no passengers were on the bus at the time.

The driver of the causing vehicle, a 29-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene. Responding officers issued her a citation for her role in the event.
