GREEN BAY, WI – A 29-year-old man was booked into jail after a suspected DUI crash took the lives of two people on Saturday night, Fox 6 Now reports.
The collision occurred shortly before 11 p.m. as the driver of a Cadillac Escalade was heading west on Cooperstown Road near County Road R.
Police say the Escalade failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and struck a Ford Fusion. The force of the impact sent the ford into a field nearby, killing both occupants. The Escalade spun around before catching fire in the roadway.
Both occupants in the Escalade were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver was subsequently arrested and booked into the Brown County Jail on DUI charges.
