MILWAUKEE, WI – The Mitchell interchange was shut down after a major collision involving two commercial trucks on Wednesday evening.
According to a report by WISN, the crash occurred as a box truck entered the westbound lanes of I-43, near I-94 at about 10:30 a.m.
As the box truck merged, an 18-wheeler swerved and overturned, striking the smaller truck.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a direct result of the crash. However, the interchange was shut down for at least six hours, causing major delays in the area.
All lanes were reopened by 4:30 p.m.
